Effective solution to the control valve in the process of use often stuck or blocked method

The control valve is famous for its superior product performance, but it often gets stuck or blocked inexplicably in the process of use, which is a headache. Is there any simple way to prevent it from getting stuck or blocked? Yes, of course!

Here are some common simple maintenance methods:

1) Remove the valve for cleaning. The welding slag, rust and slag in the pipeline will cause blockage or jamming in the orifice, guide part and balance hole of lower valve cover, which will cause pulling and scratch on the surface of valve core and guide surface, and indentation on the sealing surface. This phenomenon often occurs during the start-up period and the initial operation period after overhaul, which is the most common fault. In this case, it is necessary to remove the valve for cleaning and remove the slag. If the sealing surface is damaged, it should be ground. At the same time, the bottom cover should be opened to flush the slag falling into the lower valve cover from the balance hole, and the pipeline should be washed. Before putting into operation, the control valve shall be fully opened and the medium shall flow for a period of time before entering into normal operation.

(2) When the common control valve is used for flushing with external gas or steam, some media which are easy to precipitate and contain solid particles often cause blockage at the orifice and guide. The bottom plug of the lower valve cover can be opened to flush the gas or steam pipeline externally. In case of blockage or jamming, open the external gas or steam valve to complete the flushing work without moving the regulating valve and make the valve operate normally.

(3) Installation of pipeline filter for small diameter control valve, especially for small flow control valve, its throttle clearance is very small, and there should be no slag in the medium. In case of blockage, it is better to install a filter on the pipeline in front of the valve to ensure the smooth passage of medium.

(4) Use other forms of control valve, such as through single, double seat valve into sleeve valve, angle valve, etc. The throttling area and circumference distribution of single and double seat valves are small and easy to jam; The throttling area of the sleeve valve is distributed in a concentrated way, which is window shaped, with large clearance, and slag is easy to pass through; The straight through valve is an inverted S-shaped flow path with many dead zones in the upper and lower chambers, which provides a place for medium precipitation; The angle valve is an inverted L-shaped flow path, and the medium seems to flow through 90. Elbow, good self-cleaning performance, not easy to deposit and block.
