Effective solution to the problem that the regulating valve often gets stuck or blocked in use

Here are some common and easy maintenance methods:

1) Removing the valve to clean the welding slag, rust and slag in the pipeline will cause blockage or jamming in the orifice, guide part and balance hole of lower valve cover, which will cause the surface of valve core and guide surface to be pulled and scratched, and the sealing surface to be indentation, etc. This phenomenon often occurs during the start-up period and the initial period of operation after overhaul, which is the most common fault. In this case, the valve must be disassembled for cleaning, and the slag shall be removed. If the sealing surface is damaged, the bottom cover shall be grinded. At the same time, the bottom cover shall be opened to flush the slag falling into the lower valve cover from the balance hole, and the pipeline shall be flushed. Before putting into operation, the regulating valve shall be fully opened, and the medium shall be put into normal operation after flowing for a period of time.

(2) When a common control valve is used for flushing with external gas or steam, some media that are easy to precipitate and contain solid particles often cause blockage at the orifice and guide position. The bottom plug of the lower valve cover can be opened, and the external flushing gas or steam pipeline can be connected. In case of blockage or jamming, open the external gas or steam valve to complete the flushing work without moving the regulating valve and make the valve operate normally.

(3) Install the pipe filter to the small-diameter regulating valve, especially the small flow regulating valve. The throttling clearance is very small, and there is no slag in the medium. In case of blockage, it is better to install a filter on the pipeline in front of the valve to ensure the smooth passage of media.

(4) Use other forms of regulating valve, such as changing straight single and double seat valve into sleeve valve and angle valve. The throttling area and circumference of single and double seat valves are small and easy to block; the throttling area of sleeve valves is concentrated and distributed in the form of window, with large clearance and easy passage of slag; the straight through valve is an inverted S-shaped flow path, with many dead zones in the upper and lower chambers, providing a place for medium precipitation; the angle valve is an inverted L-shaped flow path, and the medium flows like 90. Elbow, good self-cleaning performance, not easy to deposit and block.
