Precautions for solenoid valve installation

Jun 04, 2021

Common problems of solenoid valve installation:

1. First check whether the solenoid valve is consistent with the main parameters of the model selection, such as power supply voltage, material working pressure, pressure difference, etc., especially the switching power supply. If it is mistaken, the solenoid coil will be burned. The power supply voltage should consider the range of rated current and working voltage fluctuations: communication 10%~-15%, direct current 10%~-10%, normal electromagnetic coil parts are not suitable for disassembly.

2. The magnet coil component of the general solenoid valve should be perpendicular to the upward and perpendicular to the pipeline installed on the level of the road. If it is limited by indoor space or working conditions, it must be installed on the side, and it needs to be clearly stated when ordering. . Otherwise, the solenoid valve will not work properly.

3. The pipeline should be cleaned before docking to eliminate metal powder and rubber seal residues and rust in the pipeline. Pay attention to the cleanliness level of the substance. If the substance is contaminated with dust, residue, etc., which prevents all normal operation of the solenoid valve, a filter device or filter screen must be installed in the pipeline.

4. If the substance will cause water hammer, a solenoid valve with moisture-proof hammer should be used or effective preventive measures should be taken.

5. Manual emergency shut-off valves should be installed at the front, rear, left and right of the solenoid valve, and bypass should be provided, which is beneficial to solenoid valve manufacturers who maintain the solenoid valve during common failures.

6. Solenoid valves are generally fixed items and cannot be installed reversely. Generally, they are placed on the valve body → the orientation of the material fluidity is emphasized, and the installation must be in accordance with the orientation indicated by →. However, it can be reversed in the vacuum solenoid valve circuit or under special circumstances.

7. The side of the solenoid valve for steam should be equipped with a steam trap, and the connection of the proportional solenoid valve at this point should be skewed.

8. As far as possible, it is not necessary to keep the solenoid valve connected to the power supply for a long time. It is very easy to reduce the service life of the solenoid coil and even burn the solenoid coil.
