There are three obvious differences between multi position cylinder and multi force cylinder:
I. differences between multiple force cylinder and multiple position cylinder in product selection:
1. Multiple force cylinder: it is required to provide the cylinder stroke size, multiple, working frequency, whether the stroke needs to be adjustable, whether it needs to be magnetized, internal and external teeth and other parameters for model selection.
2. Multi position cylinder: specification, thread type, buffer, position sensing, position mm Z1, position mm Z2, temperature resistance strength, etc. are provided for selection.
II. Difference in working principle between multi position cylinder and multi force cylinder:
1. Multiple force cylinder: it has the most compact length and dimension, multi-layer superposition, multiple pistons are stressed at the same time, and the output force of the cylinder is multiplied. Using the same and the same pressure source, the output is several times of the same cylinder, the output is large, the multi-layer piston is combined, the output is multiple increase, suitable for oil-free operation occasions with short stroke and high output.
2. Multi position cylinder: this kind of pneumatic actuator with piston rod staying in multiple positions can be divided into series multi position cylinder and telescopic multi position cylinder. A 3-position or 4-position cylinder is composed of two independent cylinders with piston rod extending in opposite direction. By controlling the action and stroke size of the cylinder, up to four working positions can be obtained. Each position can be precisely located by the stop. When one end of the piston rod is fixed, the cylinder barrel will move, so the cylinder must be connected with a flexible air pipe.
III. differences between multi position cylinder and multi force cylinder in product performance:
1. Multiple force cylinder: connect 2, 3, 4, 5 and other cylinders with the same piston diameter and stroke length, combine and stack multiple pistons, and bear force at the same time. Under the same air source pressure, it can reach several times of the output of ordinary cylinder. Only one solenoid control is required.
2. Multi position cylinder: at most 6 positions, 2-5 cylinders with the same piston diameter but different stroke length are connected in series. The stroke of each cylinder in the back row must be greater than the stroke of the cylinder in front of it, and the sum of all single strokes shall not exceed the total stroke. Multi position control can be realized by using multi position cylinder, and there are different control methods in terms of accuracy requirements.
