2019 International Conference On Rotating Machinery Transmission And Control Successfully Held

July 20-21, 2019 " 2019 International Conference on Rotating Machinery Transmission and Control (RMTC2019)" was successfully held at Beijing Friendship Hotel. The conference was hosted by China Mechanical Engineering Society, Beijing Institute of Technology, China Society of Mechanical Engineering Fluid Transmission and Control Branch, Key Laboratory of Vehicle Transmission, Beijing Institute of Technology-University of Virginia Rotating Machinery Joint Laboratory, School of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology Co-organized by the high-end engineering machinery and core technology industry technology innovation strategic alliance, the conference also received strong support from the China Hydraulic Pneumatic and Sealing Industry Association. The conference was the first international conference initiated by the Beijing Institute of Technology-University of Virginia Rotating Machinery Joint Lab. It invited famous experts from home and abroad in the fields of rotating machinery, transmission systems and control, and representatives of outstanding enterprises to gather together on the key basic theory of rotating machinery. The technology will conduct in-depth discussions, promote international academic exchanges in related fields, provide a platform for exchanges between academia and the business community, promote the integration of production, education and research, and at the same time enhance China's international reputation in the field of fluid machinery, transmission and control. The conference invited more than 20 well-known foreign experts and scholars, and more than 200 participants.

    The opening ceremony was hosted by Feng Huihua, deputy dean of the School of Mechanical and Vehicle Engineering, Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Xiang Changle, Vice President of Beijing Institute of Technology, Professor Jiao Zongxia, Chairman of the Fluid Transmission and Control Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society, and Director of the Rotating Machinery and Control Laboratory of the University of Virginia. Professor Houston Wood delivered an opening speech respectively.

    The conference invited famous scholars from related fields at home and abroad to make keynote reports, including Professor Karsten Stahl of Munich University of Technology, Professor Houston G. Wood of the University of Virginia, Professor Fan Chaoyang of Texas Tech University, Professor Wang Shaoping of Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Moscow State Associate Professor Dmitriy Butarovich of Bowman University of Technology and Associate Professor Wei Wei of Beijing Institute of Technology. At the same time, representatives of well-known enterprises in the field of rotating machinery and rotor dynamics were invited to make keynote reports, including senior director of Norbert Holscher of Germany RENK, president of Hunter Cloud of BRG, and chief of Zhou Guangming of Northern Vehicle Research Institute. The main report includes the basic components design theory of hydraulics, hydraulics, seals, bearings, etc. It also covers the frontier research hotspots of high-performance batteries, rotor dynamics, high-speed gears, etc. The atmosphere is lively and enthusiastic, and the wonderful reports of experts and scholars have attracted representatives. Widely heated discussion.

    On the afternoon of July 20th and 21st, there were academic exchanges, including vehicle transmission and control, fluid transmission and control, rotor dynamics and control, bearing and sealing. The conference was collected from Tsinghua University, Zhejiang University, Beijing Institute of Technology, Beijing University of Aeronautics and Astronautics, Shanghai Jiaotong University, Jilin University, Tongji University, Xi'an Jiaotong University, Hunan University, Chongqing University, Central South University, Yanshan University and other professional fields. A total of 131 papers were published in the school and research institutes. The conference organizing committee selected 78 papers from the conference venues. The venue atmosphere was very active, attracting representatives from 41 university research institutes and Liugong, Xugong and Shantui. And other business representatives participate in the report exchange. In addition to the academic exchanges at the conference venue, on the afternoon of July 20th, a special forum for the International Federation of Rotating Machinery and Control (ROMAC) was held. ROMAC is an industrial alliance established under the leadership of the Rotating Machinery and Control Laboratory of the University of Virginia. It has been established for more than 40 years and enjoys a high international reputation and influence in rotor dynamics, bearings and seals. It adopts membership system and its members come from leading companies in different countries such as the United States, Germany, Japan, China, etc. At present, ROMAC has 40 members from industry and academia, including General Electric, Pratt & Whitney, Siemens, Renk, Mitsubishi, Japan. Leading companies in the industry, ANSYS, MSC Software, Dassault Systemes SIMULIA and other pioneers in the simulation software industry, as well as top universities in Tsinghua University, Beijing Institute of Technology and other industries. The ROMAC Forum was strongly supported by the China Hydraulic Pneumatics and Seals Industry Association. The Vice President Cheng Xiaoxia and the Chairman of the Hydraulic Branch Cong Liming led the industry governing units and member units to listen to the ROMAC introduction and its cooperation model. The two sides have conducted in-depth discussions on cooperation.

    The meeting ended smoothly on the evening of July 21, 2019. The Vice Chairman of the Program Committee, Professor Yan Qingdong from the Beijing Institute of Technology and the President of the General Assembly, Professor Houston Wood of the University of Virginia respectively delivered a closing speech. At the same time, the academic committee of the conference combined the quality of the article and the performance of the speech.
