China's Manufacturing PMI Was 51% in May, China's Economy Maintained Steady Expansion

CCB News, Beijing, June 1, according to the “News and Newspaper Digest” of the Voice of China Central Radio and Television, the Service Industry Survey Center of the National Bureau of Statistics and the China Federation of Logistics and Purchasing announced on May 31. In May, my country's manufacturing purchasing manager index is 51.0%, and the non-manufacturing business activity index is 55.2%. my country's economy as a whole continues to maintain steady expansion.


In May, the manufacturing industry continued its steady expansion.

In order to meet the needs of production, the purchasing volume and import volume of manufacturing raw materials have both maintained growth, and the new order index on the demand side has increased. It has fallen from month to month, but it is still in the expansion range.


It is worth mentioning that the PMI of the high-tech manufacturing industry has risen for three consecutive months and is in a relatively high economic range, and the industry has maintained a rapid growth trend. The employment index of high-tech manufacturing has remained within the expansion range of 51.0% and above for three consecutive months, indicating that the employment of high-tech manufacturing enterprises has continued to increase and they have sufficient confidence in the future market development.

In May, the non-manufacturing business activity index PMI was 55.2%, 0.3 percentage points higher than the previous month, and the non-manufacturing sector's expansion has increased.
