In the first half of 2019, machinery industry operated at a low level, with production and marketing continuing the downward trend of the previous year. Benefit declined, price index hovered at a low level, the growth rate of fixed assets investment slowed down, and import and export trade operated at a low level.
I. Mechanical Economic Operation in the First Half of 2019
1. Value Added Low-Speed Growth Fluctuates Downward
In the first half of 2019, the growth rate of China's machinery industry added value fluctuated considerably, showing a decline, rebound and fall again. The growth rate in January-February was only 2%, 6.3% in January-March, 5% in January-April, 4.4% in January-May, 4.2% in January-June, which was lower than that in the same period of last year (8.4%). It fell by 2.2 percentage points from the first quarter, and was also lower than the growth rate of national industry (6.0%) and manufacturing industry (6.4%) in the same period.
The cumulative growth rates of general and special manufacturing industries in January-June were 5.1% and 8.3% respectively, down 0.6 and 0.7 percentage points from January to May, up 10% from January to May, up 0.3 percentage points from January to May, down 1.4% from January to June, and down 0.4% from January to May. One percentage point. As the proportion of general equipment manufacturing industry and automobile manufacturing industry in the industry is about 60%, the growth rate of value added of the whole machinery industry is slowing down due to the change of growth rate.
2. Varieties with increased product yields have fallen to less than half
From January to June, the output of 120 main products monitored by the machinery industry increased by 48 kinds compared with the same period last year, which decreased by 28 kinds, accounting for 40% (63% in the same period last year); the output decreased by 72 kinds compared with the same period last year, accounting for 60% (37% in the same period last year). In terms of trend, this year's output growth continued to decrease in the number of products, less than half of them.
