The Kentucky Expo Is Ready For The Demo Expo
Sep 23, 2019
The International Construction & Utility Equipment Exposition (ICUEE), also known as The Demo Expo, is a premier event for utility professionals and construction contractors to gain comprehensive insight into the latest technologies, innovations, and trends affecting their industry. Strong exhibitor support has pushed the Expo to record size, with 28 acres of the latest utility and construction equipment, products, and technologies for attendees to explore when they gather on October 1-3 in Louisville, Kentucky at the Kentucky Exposition Center.
The event focuses on the business and professional needs of utilities and utility contractors in the electric, telecommunications, natural gas, water, and wastewater sectors, boasting an attendance of more than 18,000 utility and construction professionals from companies of all sizes. The 2019 ICUEE will feature the most comprehensive show ever including Eat & Learn Workshops, Field Classrooms, and a Disaster Simulation Lab, as well as the Diesel Progress Summit serving as a “pre-show” on September 30, 2019. “ICUEE education sessions are a great way to conveniently ramp up the knowledge of your team,” said ICUEE Show Director John Rozum. “We’ve developed relevant programs and gathered leading experts to help you and your team stay informed and up to speed on the latest industry developments.”
A two-mile Test Drive Zone highlights on-road equipment and technologies, and the indoor Demo Stage features interactive product demonstrations to complement extensive in-booth product demos. Attendees can operate equipment in job-like conditions and discuss product capabilities with company technical experts to compare and choose what best meets their project needs. Targeted industry education and quality networking events will round out the show experience. As an added value, education participants earn Professional Development Hours credit. Attendees can also take advantage of industry certifications offered by the National Commission for the Certification of Crane Operators (NCCCO).
Fluid power professionals can compare equipment, discuss specifications with tech experts and equipment designers, and identify business solutions that maximize productivity without sacrificing safety. More than 1,000 construction and utility leaders from over 50 countries will help utility and construction industry professionals from novice to veteran enhance their safety knowledge, increase efficiencies, and reduce downtime on the job.
Attendees will be able to see industry best practices illustrated firsthand with equipment on the show floor during new “field classroom” education sessions. These walk-around sessions will use the show floor instead of PowerPoint presentations to provide an overview on topics geared for those new to the industry. Ten 90-minute sessions will focus on aerial devices, fleet management, high-voltage transmission technology, horizontal directional drilling, and vacuum excavation.
Professionals will also have more than 20 fast-paced 20-minute exhibitor presentations that will feature product innovations and best practices in action at this newly labeled Gold 100 trade show, a designation awarded in 2017 when the ICUEE was recognized as one of the fastest growing non-annual trade shows in number of exhibitors with a growth that surpassed 99.5% of all U.S. shows held in 2015.
