The Largest Vacuum Valve In China Passed The Field Test Successfully

Recently, the largest vacuum valve developed by CNNC new energy Co., Ltd. in China passed the field test successfully at the summary and field test review meeting of large-diameter electric vacuum valve with material working condition.


The review meeting was held in CNNC =uranium enrichment Co., Ltd. At the meeting, the project leader of CNNC company reported the research and development of large caliber vacuum valve to the experts, and introduced the test of the valve with material condition assessment in detail. The expert group reviewed the technical data of the working condition assessment test of the electric vacuum valve, and witnessed the opening and closing action test, closing time and vacuum leakage rate test of the valve prototype on site. The expert group believes that the test results of the developed large-diameter vacuum valve meet the requirements of the test indicators and achieve the expected research objectives after 3 months of test of the prototype working condition with materials. The successful completion of the condition assessment and field test fully shows the reliability of the newly developed valve in the system operation.


In order to meet the needs of large-scale development of China's nuclear fuel processing industry and break through the key technology of large-diameter vacuum valve, the company independently invested in the development of the largest caliber electric and manual vacuum valve in 2013. In view of the technical difficulties such as sealing and impact caused by the increase of valve diameter, the R & D technicians have studied and determined the design boundary conditions through repeated calculation and demonstration, and solved the key technical problems such as transmission mechanism, sealing and valve core structure; studied and solved some problems existing in the manufacturing process of the prototype, and ensured the reliability and sealing of the valve. Through type test The accuracy of theoretical analysis is verified by vibration measurement.


The successful completion of the working condition assessment marks the success of the research and development of the largest vacuum valve with independent intellectual property rights and the largest caliber in China, and the technical indicators have reached the international advanced level. The successful development of the valve has filled in the domestic blank, laid a foundation for the innovation and improvement of the related nuclear fuel processing technology, and is of great significance for improving the competitiveness of China's nuclear fuel processing industry.
