Cylinder inspection and how to measure
Feb 29, 2020
In addition to checking whether the cylinder wall is scratched or damaged, the cylinder diameter shall be measured to calculate the roundness and cylindricity of the cylinder.
① Installation and calibration of cylinder gauge
1) Select the appropriate extension rod according to the standard size of the tested cylinder, and do not tighten the fixing nut temporarily after installation.
2) adjust the outside micrometer to the standard size of the cylinder to be measured, and put the installed cylinder gauge into the micrometer.
3) Rotate the extension rod slightly to make the pointer of the most cylinder gauge rotate about 2mm, make the pointer align with the zero point of the scale, and tighten the fixed nut of the extension rod. In order to make the measurement correct, repeat zero correction once.
② Measurement method
1) Using the most cylinder gauge, hold the heat insulation sleeve with one hand and hold the lower part of the pipe close to the body with the other hand.
2) Take three positions (sections) up, middle and down along the axis of the cylinder, and measure six values in total
