How to check the wear of cylinder?

Inspection of the cylinder is mainly to detect the degree of wear, that is, the cylinder roundness and cylindricity.

Measurement of cylinder diameter of 1 cylinder block

① Measuring position of cylinder diameter

According to the wear law of the cylinder, the cylinder diameter should be measured in three axial sections and three directions. The top section is in the upper part of the cylinder, which is equivalent to the top dead center of the piston stroke. The position of the first piston ring is about 15mm away from the cylinder top; The second section is in the middle of the cylinder, about 35mm away from the top of the cylinder; The third section is at the lower part of the cylinder near the lower edge, about 70mm away from the top of the cylinder.

② Adjust the cylinder gauge to measure the length of connecting rod

According to the diameter of the cylinder to be measured, select the appropriate measuring connecting rod and fixing nut, and screw them into the lower end of the rod. Adjust the length of the connecting rod to make it fit with the total length of the movable measuring rod and the diameter of the cylinder to be measured, even if the measuring range can include the maximum and minimum wear diameter of the cylinder.

③ Measure the minimum wear cylinder diameter. The minimum wear diameter is in the lower part of the cylinder, so extend the measuring rod of the cylinder gauge close to the lower edge of the cylinder bore.

④ Measure the maximum wear cylinder diameter.

⑤ Measurement of roundness and cylindricity error. After the maximum wear cylinder diameter is measured, the minimum cylinder diameter in the same cross section is measured. For convenience, the cylinder diameter perpendicular to the maximum wear diameter is usually measured as the minimum wear diameter in the plane.
