How to Install Steam Relief Valve

Installation of pressure relief valve:

1. In order to operate and maintain conveniently, the valve is usually installed upright in horizontal pipeline.

2. Pressure relief valve installation must be strictly in accordance with the arrow direction on the valve body to keep in line with the direction of fluid flow. If the water quality is not clean and contains some impurities, filters must be installed at the upstream inlet of the relief valve.

3. In order to prevent pressure overpressure behind the valve, a pressure relief valve should be installed at the outlet of the valve not less than 4M.

4. Pressure relief valves play a certain role in the pipeline check. In order to prevent the harm of water hammer, small expansion tanks can also be installed to prevent damage to pipelines and valves. Filters must be installed in front of the inlet pipe of pressure relief valves, and expansion tanks must be installed after the outlet pipe of pressure relief valves!

5. If you need to install the pressure relief valve in the hot water system, you must install a check valve between the pressure relief valve and the expansion tank. This not only allows the expansion tank to absorb the increased volume of water due to thermal expansion, but also prevents the backflow of hot water or pressure fluctuation from affecting the pressure relief valve and ensures its long-term normal operation.
