Main Causes of Pressure Valve Failure

Jul 23, 2019

Pressure valves play a major role in pressure control and safety protection in hydraulic systems. They are commonly used as pressure instruments and are widely used in many industries, such as industry, chemical industry, petroleum, machine tools, ships, electronics, power and so on. When we use pressure valves, we always encounter the failure of pressure valves. This problem is usually caused by the following reasons:

(1) Hydraulic spool and valve body wear constantly in use, which makes the size, shape and surface quality of parts change.

(2) Balanced spring, spool and seat in hydraulic valve work under long-term variable load, resulting in fatigue and cracks, resulting in spring, breakage or flaking and damage of sealing surface of valve seat.

(3) The residual stress in the process of processing and the external load stress in the process of using the hydraulic valve parts exceed the yield strength of the parts materials, and the parts are deformed.

(4) Hydraulic oil contains too much water or acidic substance, which corrodes parts of hydraulic valves after a long period of use, thus losing their due accuracy.

(5) The radial force between the valve core and the valve sleeve is unbalanced, which eventually causes the valve core to press against the inner wall of the valve sleeve to become clamped.

(6) When the hydraulic valve is manufactured or repaired, it fails to meet the required technical requirements, or parts are poorly kept, rust occurs and dirt is mixed in.
