When customers choose SMC solenoid valve products, they need to pay attention to the following matters.

Specification confirmation: solenoid valve products are only designed for the use of compressed air system (including vacuum). It should not be used in the pressure and temperature outside the specification range to avoid damage and bad action. And we do not guarantee the damage caused by the use beyond the specification.

2. About driving actuator: when using valve to drive cylinder and other actuator, measures should be taken in advance to prevent the actuator from dangerous action. Such as setting cover, forbidding to approach.

3 about the intermediate stop: the occasion of the intermediate stop of the cylinder piston with the three position intermediate seal type or stop type directional valve. Since air is compressible, it is difficult to achieve the correct precise stop. In addition, the valve and cylinder can not guarantee no leakage, so it can not be kept in the middle stop position for a long time. If it stops for a long time, please contact us.

4. The influence of back pressure on the valve assembly: when the valve assembly is used, it is necessary to pay attention to the misoperation of the actuator caused by back pressure, especially when the three position medium relief directional valve and the driving single acting cylinder are used. If you are worried about such misoperation, you can use separate exhaust diaphragm assembly, back pressure prevention valve or separate exhaust cartridge. In addition, the 4-position 3-way valve of sq1000 becomes 4-way specification (R1 and R2 are common), and a back pressure prevention valve can be installed. Although the back pressure of other numbers of valves can be prevented, the back pressure in the same valve can not be prevented, so it should be noted.

About pressure maintenance (including vacuum pressure): because the valve has micro leakage, it cannot be used to maintain the pressure (or vacuum pressure) in the pressure vessel.

6 can not be used in emergency shut-off valve: the company's solenoid valve is not designed to ensure the safety of emergency shut-off valve. Such a system should be solved by other means to ensure safety.

About residual pressure release: considering the need of maintenance and inspection, the function of residual pressure release should be set. Especially when using three position middle seal or stop type air valve, the residual pressure between the reversing valve and the cylinder must be released.

8. Use under vacuum pressure: when the valve is used under vacuum switching, measures should be taken to prevent external dust and foreign matters from being sucked in from the suction cup and exhaust port, and vacuum filter should be installed. In addition, during vacuum suction, always keep the vacuum suction. Due to foreign matters attached on the suction cup and air leakage of the valve, the workpiece may fall down.

About the vacuum switching valve and breaking valve: in the vacuum piping, once the valve that is not vacuum specification is set, vacuum leakage will occur, so the valve with vacuum specification should be used.

About the use of double coil: in the case of new use of double coil type, according to the switching position of the valve, the action direction of the actuator should be considered. Due to the action of the actuator, the necessary countermeasures should be taken without danger.

About air exchange: air exchange port should be set when valve is used in sealed control cabinet. In order to prevent the pressure rising in the control cabinet due to exhaust or the heat of the valve, the heat can not be dissipated.

12 long term continuous power on:

When the valve is continuously electrified for a long time, the performance and service life of the solenoid valve will be reduced due to the heating and temperature rise of the coil assembly, which will bring bad effects to the surrounding components. For this reason, the DC specification and power-saving type of SY series, or the low-power specification of VQ series and other valves of long-term power-on type should be used in the occasions of long-term continuous power on or the occasions of daily total power-on time longer than no power on. In addition, according to the conditions of use (especially for DC valves), the use of valves other than those mentioned above should be confirmed with us. In addition, there are also ways to use N.O. specifications to shorten the power on time.

When the valve is installed in the control cabinet, measures should be taken to dissipate heat, and it should be within the temperature range specified by the valve. Especially in the case of long-term continuous power supply above the adjacent position of the cartridge valve and the case of long-term continuous power supply at the a side and B side of SJ / SZ / SV / VQ / SQ series double 3-way valve, the temperature rise should be paid attention to（ AC specification of SY / VQ, with other corresponding products, to be confirmed by our company.)
