Process of Cylinder Type Selection

Taking SC as an example, the specific selection procedures are as follows:


1. Selection of cylinder series: According to the purpose of use, cylinder diameter and stroke range, select the appropriate cylinder series.


2. Choosing the inner diameter of the cylinder: Determining the diameter of the cylinder according to the load size, running speed and working pressure. The important selection steps are as follows: 1. Determining the load weight (including the weight of movable parts such as workpieces, fixtures, guide rods); 2. Selecting the air pressure to be used (the compressed air pressure to supply the cylinder); 3. Determining the cylinder motion. Direction.


3. Choose the stroke of cylinder: The stroke of cylinder is related to the use occasion and the stroke ratio of mechanism. In order to facilitate installation and debugging, appropriate margins should be set aside for the calculated travel. Use standard strokes whenever possible to ensure rapid delivery and reduce costs.


4. Selection of installation form: determined by installation location, use purpose and other factors. Fixed cylinder is generally used.


5. Selection of cushioning form: According to the speed of piston, whether to use cushioning device or not is decided. Take Smart as an example, Smart cylinders are equipped with different cushioning devices. Customers can choose according to the actual load movement. If the load and speed are large, it is difficult to absorb shock by the cushioning of the cylinder itself, it is necessary to design a cushioning circuit or use an external buffer.


6. Choose whether the cylinder is magnetic or not: When the pneumatic system adopts electrical control, the cylinder with magnetic switch can be selected.


7. Selected accessories, such as solenoid valves, throttle valves, joints and even pipes, seem irrelevant but affect performance. Of course, as long as the problem of pneumatic type selection is solved, other basic can be matched according to tables.


8. Other requirements: If the working environment is not good, please install a dust cap at the protruding end of the piston rod. Non-oil and non-oil lubricated cylinders can be selected to achieve pollution-free.
