The Process of Measuring the Flow Characteristics of Pneumatic Components
Oct 11, 2019
Flow characteristics are important technical indicators of pneumatic components. Accurate measurement of flow characteristics of pneumatic components is of great significance for evaluating the performance parameters of pneumatic products and the selection of pneumatic control systems. The research on the method of measuring the flow characteristics of pneumatic components has always attracted much attention. In 1989, ISO6358-1989 was officially released. The flow characteristics of pneumatic components were expressed by two parameters: sound velocity conductivity C and critical pressure ratio B. After the release of the standard, many researchers have studied the standard and found that there are many defects in the standard, such as unreliable measured B value, even negative value, high cost of testing equipment and instruments, high gas consumption, incorrect regulation of flow control valve, etc. In 1993, in response to the above shortcomings, China formulated GB/T 14513. Since its implementation in 1994, this standard has attracted the attention of many pneumatic colleagues. The series sound velocity exhaust method adopted in this standard is only suitable for measuring the pneumatic components whose internal runners with connecting ports at the back end remain unchanged. In 2013, the new international standard ISO 6358-2013 was officially released, replacing ISO 6358-1989. The new standard ISO 6358-2013 is composed of three parts. The general inspection rules and test methods for steady-state flow of ISO 6358-1 are very basic and important parts of the new standard ISO 6358.
The test of flow characteristics of pneumatic components has not been completed. With the development of technology, the related test research will continue.
