What are the causes of the occasional failure of the standard cylinder and how to avoid it?

1、Pneumatic actuator (standard cylinder) failure


Due to improper assembly and long-term use of the cylinder, the pneumatic actuator (cylinder) is prone to internal and external leakage, insufficient output force and unstable action, poor buffering effect, damage of piston rod and cylinder head and other fault phenomena.


(1) The output force of the cylinder is insufficient and the action is not stable, which is generally caused by the piston or piston rod being stuck, poor lubrication, insufficient air supply, or condensate and impurities in the cylinder. In this regard, it is necessary to adjust the middle of the piston rod, check whether the operation of the oil mist atomizer is reliable and whether the air supply pipeline is blocked. When there are condensed water and impurities in the cylinder, they should be removed in time.


(2) The internal and external leakage of standard cylinder is generally caused by eccentric installation of piston rod, insufficient supply of lubricating oil, abrasion or damage of sealing ring and sealing ring, impurities in cylinder and scars of piston rod. Therefore, in case of internal and external leakage of the cylinder, the piston rod shall be readjusted to ensure the coaxiality between the piston rod and the cylinder barrel; the working reliability of the oil mist device shall be checked frequently to ensure that the actuator is well lubricated; when the seal ring and the seal ring are worn or damaged, they shall be replaced in time; if there are impurities in the cylinder, they shall be removed in time; when there are scars on the piston rod, they shall be replaced.


(3) The damage of piston rod and cylinder head of cylinder is generally caused by eccentric installation of piston rod or ineffective buffer mechanism. To do this, adjust the middle position of the piston rod; replace the buffer seal ring or adjusting screw.


(4)The cushion effect of the cylinder is poor, which is generally caused by the abrasion of the cushion seal ring or the damage of the adjusting screw. At this time, replace the sealing ring and adjusting screw.


2、Pneumatic auxiliary component failure


The main faults of pneumatic transmission aids are: oil mist device fault, automatic blowdown device fault, muffler fault and so on.


(1) The trouble of the oil atomizer is that the regulating amount of the regulating needle is too small, the oil circuit is blocked, the pipeline leaks air, etc., which will make the liquid oil drop unable to atomize. In order to solve this problem, it is necessary to deal with the blockage and air leakage in time, and adjust the amount of oil dripping to about 5 drops / min. During normal use, the oil level in the oil cup shall be kept within the upper and lower limits. The water deposited at the bottom of the oil cup shall be removed in time.


(2) When the muffler installed on the reversing valve is too dirty or blocked, it will also affect the sensitivity and reversing time of the reversing valve, so the muffler should be cleaned frequently.


(3) The oil and water in the automatic blowdown can't be removed automatically sometimes, especially when the temperature is low in winter. At this time, it should be removed and inspected and cleaned.
