What is a damper?

The working principle of the damper:

Damper made of damping is a very important part of hardware accessories, but how does it work? Dampers have long been used in aerospace, military and other industries, and their main function is to reduce vibration efficiency. Later it was slowly used in construction, furniture, hardware and other industries. There are many types of dampers, such as pulsation dampers, magnetorheological dampers, rotary dampers, hydraulic dampers, etc. Different dampers may have different forms, but their principles are the same. They are all to reduce vibration, convert friction into internal energy, and drive the entire system to operate.

Sliding door shock absorber function:

The dampers on the door are generally used on sliding doors, which are mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic. When you apply force to the sliding door, the damper will react, and the door opener will automatically close through the rear door to ensure that the door does not hit the door frame. In the door design shown above, there are two types of doors: sliding doors and common sliding doors. With the use of dampers, it is more convenient to push and pull the door. At the same time, the mute function of the air door turns the door switch off so as not to make a harsh sound.
