On the afternoon of May 16, the Modern Pneumatic Technology Academic Forum and the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society Member Day were successfully held online.

The conference was hosted by the Fluid Power Transmission and Control Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and undertaken by Dalian Maritime University. More than 100 members of the Pneumatic Professional Committee of the Fluid Power Transmission and Control Branch of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and experts and scholars from universities, scientific research institutes and enterprises attended the meeting. The meeting was presided over by Xiong Wei, the director of the Pneumatic Division of the branch.

At the meeting, Zhang Qingsong, the branch secretariat, made a report on the "Historical Evolution of the Chinese Society of Mechanical Engineering and Fluid Power Transmission and Control Branch" on behalf of the branch. He introduced the establishment process and development status of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society and the Fluid Power Transmission and Control Branch in conjunction with the membership day activities of the Chinese Mechanical Engineering Society.

The topics of the first half of the report were: precision pneumatic vibration isolation technology, development ideas of large-scale high-end marine pneumatic hydraulic piling hammers, technological innovation and challenges of aviation oxygen protection systems, pneumatic digital control technology and basic components for high-end automation equipment, The MDPDE method is used for droplet collision and icing simulation, fuel cell proportional control technology/space micro-flow pressure control technology.

In the second half, there were wonderful reports entitled Aerospace Launch and Aerodynamics Technology, Aerospace Servo System Health Management Related Research, Pulsed Gas Jet Unsteady Characteristics Research, High Pressure Aerodynamics Technology and Application Prospects for Deep-sea Energy Storage and Power Generation, and Underwater Compressed Gas Energy Storage.
