Classification and principle of reciprocating linear motion cylinder
Aug 23, 2021
Pneumatic actuator that converts the pressure energy of compressed gas into mechanical energy in pneumatic transmission. The cylinder has two types: reciprocating linear motion and reciprocating swing. The reciprocating cylinder can be divided into single acting cylinder, double acting cylinder, diaphragm cylinder and impact cylinder.
1. Single acting cylinder: there is only a piston rod at one end, which supplies air from one side of the piston to gather energy to generate air pressure. The air pressure pushes the piston to generate thrust, extends and returns by spring or self weight.
2. Double acting cylinder: supply air alternately from both sides of the piston and output force in one or two directions.
3. Diaphragm cylinder: replace the piston with diaphragm, output force in only one direction and return with spring. It has good sealing performance, but short stroke.
4. Impact cylinder: This is a new component. It converts the pressure energy of the compressed gas into the kinetic energy of the high-speed (10 ~ 20 m / s) movement of the piston to do work.
Taking SC standard cylinder as an example, SC standard cylinder is a double acting cylinder with reciprocating linear motion.
SC standard cylinder is suitable for use in various industries, especially in dust removal devices.
