Key points in use of cylinder

● pay attention to keep distance for parallel cylinder

The distance between parallel cylinders must be more than 40 mm, otherwise the magnetic switches of cylinders will interfere with each other and cause misoperation.

● magnetic switch wiring shall be shortened as much as possible

If the wiring is too long, the current will be large when the switch is turned on, which shortens the service life of the switch. If the wiring must be very long, more than 5 meters, the contact protection box must be used.

● the piston rod cannot be subjected to radial force

The piston rod can only be pushed and pulled axially. Once it is subjected to the lateral force, the guide rod and the inner wall of the cylinder barrel will produce a special force, which shortens the service life of the cylinder. In case of radial force, it is necessary to add guide rod or slide rail auxiliary, or directly select the cylinder with slide rail and guide rod.

● protection shall be provided at the action place of air cylinder.

The cylinder is easy to hurt people. If there is no safety grating on the outside of the machine, the place where the cylinder acts must be protected.

● the cylinder with guide rod cannot be used as the shift point

The shift point has a special block cylinder. Do not think that the cylinder with guide rod can also be used as the shift point. It cannot bear radial impact. If it is used as the shift point, it will be loose within a few months, resulting in inaccurate positioning.

Design support in the middle of long stroke cylinder

Support should be designed in the middle of long stroke cylinder to overcome the piston rod's sagging, cylinder tube's bending down, vibration and external load of piston rod.

● the piping between cylinder and solenoid valve should not be too long

If the piping is too long, the gas will not be easily discharged and replaced, and condensation will be easy after a long time.

● cylinder lubrication

Nowadays, the cylinder is usually pre greased, so there is no need to add lubricating oil. However, once the lubricating oil is added, the oil supply cannot be stopped, because the pre added lubricating grease may be washed out, and failure to supply oil will lead to poor operation of the cylinder.
