Precautions for cylinder buffer in cylinder selection
Dec 05, 2019
I. structure of cylinder buffer device
The buffer device of cylinder is composed of buffer plunger, throttle valve and buffer chamber.
II. Working principle of cylinder buffer
When the piston moves to the right at high speed, the air in the right chamber of the piston is discharged to the atmosphere through the cylinder head plug hole and the air inlet and exhaust port. Once the stroke of cylinder piston rod enters into the inner hole cavity of terminal end cover, the buffer plunger blocks the inner hole cavity of terminal end cover by the buffer seal ring. As a result, the air in the annular chamber between the piston and the cylinder head can only be discharged to the atmosphere through the throttle valve. Due to the small flow area of the throttle valve, the air cushion function of the air back pressure rise stroke in the annular chamber is solved, which forces the piston to decelerate rapidly and finally stops. The buffer speed can be adjusted by changing the opening of throttle valve.
III. cylinder buffer stroke
From the time when the buffer plunger closes the plunger hole to the stop position of the piston, the stroke the piston takes is called the buffer stroke. Buffering device refers to the ability of hand washing piston movement by using the formed air cushion (i.e. back pressure resistance) and throttling damping to achieve the purpose of buffering.
IV. precautions for cushion calculation of cylinder
When the cylinder piston is in the static state at the end, no matter how much air pressure (energy) is added, there is no need to worry about its impact on the cylinder head (except for the strength problem). In the calculation of cylinder cushion, only the kinetic energy of cylinder motion is taken into account, instead of the pressure energy, gravity energy and friction energy acting on the piston.
