Selection of normally open and normally closed solenoid valve

Smartsolu solenoid valve is usually divided into two types: normally closed type and normally open type. When the coil is powered on, electromagnetic force is generated to make the moving iron core overcome the spring force and the static iron core pull in and directly open the valve. When the coil is powered off, the electromagnetic force disappears. The moving iron core resets under the action of the spring force and directly closes the valve port. The medium is blocked. It is simple in structure, reliable in action and works normally under zero pressure difference and micro vacuum. The normally open type is the opposite. Special has self-sustaining solenoid valve, also known as the normally open and normally closed solenoid valve.

We can choose according to the duration of work: normally closed, normally open, or continuously energized.

1. When the solenoid valve needs to be closed for a long time, and the closing time is longer than the opening time, the normally closed type shall be selected.

2. When the solenoid valve needs to be opened for a long time, and the opening time is longer than the closing time, the normally open type shall be selected.

3. When it needs to be opened for a long time and closed for a long time, it should be selected from the holding type solenoid valve, also known as the normally open and normally closed type solenoid valve.

4. However, some working conditions for safety protection, such as furnace and kiln flame monitoring, can not be selected as normally open ones, but should be selected as long-term energized ones.

5. For gas alarm system, the normally open gas emergency cut-off solenoid valve with manual opening shall be selected.
