The reason analysis of the phenomenon that the coil enameled wire of the solenoid valve is burnt and the solenoid valve installation form
Apr 28, 2021
There are two main reasons for solenoid valve coil burning
1: The coil temperature is too high.
2: There's water in the coil.
The high coil temperature may be caused by the following reasons:
1: The actual voltage fluctuation is too large, exceeding the rated voltage range. The general voltage deviation of domestic enameled wire is 5%, and that of good manufacturers is up to 10%.
2: The medium circulating in your solenoid valve may have impurities and get stuck. The force of the solenoid coil can't open the solenoid valve. As a result, the solenoid coil works all the time. The coil is electrified for a long time, causing serious heating. The temperature rises, and finally the solenoid is burnt.
3: The starting power of the coil is not enough, resulting in the solenoid valve always can not be opened, the coil long-term heating, temperature rise, and finally lead to burnout.
4: Your PTC thermistor is broken, resulting in the failure to control the solenoid valve properly.
Why must solenoid valve be installed horizontally? Can it be installed vertically?
Solenoid valve is generally installed with horizontal valve body and vertical coil. Some products can be installed at will, but it is better to be vertical when conditions permit, so as to increase service life.
Solenoid valves are mostly used for on-off in fluid environment, so they are directional and cannot be installed reversely.
In the general design, the solenoid valve should be installed horizontally, which is mainly considered from the service life. In the pneumatic environment, such a design can also reduce impurity plugging; In the liquid environment, because of the large current, the vertical or inclined installation of solenoid valve is easy to be affected by impurities, and the sticking of impurities and the gravity of ferromagnet itself are the factors that easily affect the use of solenoid valve.
In the hydraulic system, because of the large current, in order to extend the service life of the solenoid valve, it is usually necessary to install a relay.
