The design of non-standard mechanism may need calculation, but calculation is not equal to design, especially the mechanism design in pneumatic mode. Many known conditions are difficult to quantify. In addition, the applied working conditions are complex and changeable, so we can't expect to get accurate design results through several formula calculations. The significance of calculation is more reflected in avoiding the risk of failure through calculation and analysis, that is, most calculations only need to consider the worst case.
Structure and action principle of cylinder
An ordinary cylinder is composed of cylinder block, piston sealing ring and magnetic ring (cylinder with sensor). Its action principle is that compressed air moves the piston and changes the moving direction of the piston rod by changing the direction of air inlet.
The actual load of the cylinder is determined by the working condition. If the load rate is determined η It can also determine the theoretical output and load rate of the cylinder η The selection of is related to the load performance of the cylinder and the moving speed of the cylinder.
Determine cylinder stroke
The stroke of the cylinder is related to the use occasion and mechanism size. The following points should be paid attention to.
1) Generally, the full stroke is not selected to prevent the piston from colliding with the cylinder head. For example, for clamping mechanism, the allowance of more than 1 ~ 2mm shall be added according to the stroke required for calculation.
2) The limit should be "balanced and stable". The so-called "balance" means that the cylinder cannot be held or suspended. The so-called "stable" means that there should be enough force to block the "threatening" moving part without shaking, shaking or loosening tendency.
3) Try to select the standard stroke in the cylinder manual, so as to ensure the supply speed and reduce the time cost.
