Types and use of pneumatic components

Dec 19, 2019

Classification of pneumatic components:

1. Control element is the element that controls the start and stop of driving element, such as solenoid valve, manual valve, etc.

2. Detection elements, vacuum pressure and flow elements, such as pressure sensor, vacuum sensor and flow sensor.

3. Air source processing elements, remove the impurities such as water, oil, garbage and other impurities of compressed air generated by the compressor or the elements regulating the pressure, such as pressure reducing valve, filter, air desiccant, drainer, oil remover and booster valve.

4. Vacuum element, which uses air compression to produce vacuum environment or absorb other products, such as vacuum generator and vacuum suction cup.

5. The driving element is the element that uses air compression to obtain thrust, such as air cylinder, air claw and pneumatic motor.

6. Auxiliary components, which are used together with driving components and vacuum components, such as connectors, hoses, silencers, speed controllers, check valves, manifold and pressure gauges.

Precautions for pneumatic components:

1. Check whether there is air leakage at the air outlet of the component that should not be leaked. If there is air leakage, it indicates that the component has early damage. If it is not lubricated, it is necessary to check whether the installation position of the oil mist eliminator is appropriate, whether the selected specification is appropriate, whether the adjustment of the amount of oil dripping is reasonable, and whether the management method meets the requirements. If there is condensate discharge, check whether the filter position is appropriate and whether the selection of water removal components is reasonable. Whether the leakage is caused by poor sealing condition in the valve or cylinder and insufficient air pressure.

2. All products of components shall be kept within the specified working pressure and voltage range when in use. In case of excessive water or oil drops and dust, the protective cover shall be covered to avoid product damage. Do not use fluid or air containing corrosive substances to avoid component damage.

3. During operation, do not touch the switch to avoid electric shock caused by short circuit or circuit error, and do not place articles on it to avoid damage to human body, machine and device caused by falling off of things, or the risk of poor operation and out of control caused by product damage.

4. To know whether the lubricating oil contained in the exhaust is appropriate, a clean white paper can be placed near the exhaust port of the reversing valve. After three to four cycles of operation of the reversing valve, if there are only very light spots on the white paper, it indicates that the lubrication effect is good, and at the same time, it is necessary to know whether there is condensate in the exhaust.

5. When using the cylinder, the air quality is required to be high, and clean and dry compressed air shall be used, among which there shall be no solvent synthetic oil, salt, corrosive gas, etc., to prevent the air valve in the cylinder from failure during operation.

6. Before installation, the connecting pipe shall be fully replaced without dust, and the end of the chip shall be sealed without debris and impurities entering the cylinder valve. Where there are dust, water drops and oil drops, the side protective sleeve of the expansion rod shall be used to ensure that there will be no distortion during installation. The telescopic protection cover can not be used when it is opened, but also used with cylinder or cylinder with dust-proof sealing strength.

When using pneumatic components, we must pay attention to the methods to avoid that the components can not fully play its role. In order to improve the utilization rate of components, it is suggested that you can check the components after installation to see if there is any problem, and then use them, so as to avoid damage in the later stage.
